Wednesday:
Rohan and I spent most of the day at Legoland. It was fun, but it would have been a lot more fun if you had a little kid with you. But there were some pretty cool parts. I loved going around to see the different lego sculptures. They had little buildings from around the world and busts of famous people. Rohan's favourite sculpture was a life size version of the small to-scale version of one of the ships from Star Wars. They had made a little to-scale version of it in Legos and then they made one that would have been the real size, but made it look like the Lego version. It was also cool to see some of the old factory machines set up to demonstrate how Legos are made.
There was also a place where you could build a Lego racecar. Rohan was doing some fancy stuff and I thought for sure that he would know how to build a good fast one. Well, he ended up making two cars with the wheels that they gave us, both of which lost to my car. One of his didn't even make it half way down the track. By about mid-afternoon, we had gone through the entire park and called my parents to come pick us up. They used the GPS to find our way out of there and it pronounced Legoland really funny. It was something like 'leg-a-land.' It made us all laugh.
For dinner, we checked off one of the things that Rohan wanted to do most in California. We found the Korean taco food truck that he wanted to eat at. Apparently it is one of the top restaurants in LA. We found out where they were going to be located that evening and went there. It was something happening at a school. A bunch of food trucks go there once a week or something like that. Their food did not disappoint. It was worth trying to track them down.
Later that evening, we went back to the hotel and decided to walk down to Downtown Disney. My parents had not been down there. We walked around and then watched the fireworks from Disneyland. It was really pretty and fun to watch them from outside the park.
